The RMHF supports charitable projects that help the Rocky Mountain Horse breed thrive.

We seek partnerships with established organizations, academic institutions, and committed groups to advance public education, scientific research, historical preservation, and breed conservation.

As a 501(c)(3) public charity, the RMHF serves as the fiscal sponsor and grant administrator for approved projects. 

We review each proposal to ensure it is aligned with our mission and has a clear and charitable purpose. After approving project activities and budgets in advance, we administer grant funds, retaining final discretion and control over them to ensure they are used for approved charitable expenses. 

The RMHF partners with organizations, institutions, and groups ready to take an active role in raising support for their proposed projects. 

While RMHF does not solicit funds for individual projects, we are committed to helping our partners build a strong foundation for success.

Grant applicants are responsible for developing a fundraising plan, identifying potential donors and funding sources, and carrying out fundraising activities for their project. 

For approved projects, RMHF provides a 501(c)(3) framework to receive tax-deductible donations or grants, along with fiscal oversight. This allows RMHF to support a wider range of projects while building the community support needed for long-term success.
